The 2013 Bedichek-Orman Professional Development Auction is just a few weeks away! This year’s auction, themed “An Evening in Paris,” will be held on Friday, November 1 in the West Loop Auditorium and it promises to be one of the best auction’s yet with live singing, a can-can performance, visits from some of your favorite French characters like Quasimodo and Esmerelda, a guillotine and delicious dinner and drinks in the company of your HCC colleagues. And don’t forget the highlight of the evening — the silent and live auction! This year’s auction lots include art, jewelry, opportunities to spend time with HCC VIP’s, choice parking spots at various HCC campuses, trips, housewares, and tons of fabulous experiences like dinner gift certificates, theater and concert tickets, and memberships to various Houston area organizations like the Arboretum. Additionally, this year’s auction will also feature a French flea market perfect for bargain hunters or anyone who loves getting a great deal.

But we can always use more items! The auction only works if YOU donate, so I sincerely hope that you will. Donations can be dropped off at any campus library and they must be accompanied by a donation form, which can be found on our website. The donation deadline is 5 pm on Friday, October 18.

Don’t forget to pre-register by visiting https://www.hccsfoundation.org/BedichekOrman2013. Those who pre-register may be eligible for a special door prize drawing! The deadline for pre-registration is 5 pm on Thursday, October 31.

We’ll see you in Paris… Au revoir!
