The Bedichek-Orman Work Group works throughout the year to raise funds for professional development opportunities. However, their primary fundraising event is the Bedichek-Orman Professional Development Auction, held annually the first Friday in November. This year, you can attend the auction virtually!
The money raised by the work group funds Bedichek-Orman Professional Development Awards, which are designated to assist full-time and adjunct faculty in travel and/or registration for professional development purposes.
This event is open to HCC faculty and staff.

The 2014 Bedichek-Orman auction, themed “A Journey Into Outer Space,” is scheduled for Friday, October 24 in the West Loop Auditorium. The event will start at 5:30 pm and will include dinner, drinks, entertainment and — the highlight of the evening — both a silent and live auction!
The auction is an annual event with the sole purpose of raising funds for professional development awards and we hope to earn over $10,000 to fund professional development opportunities via the Bedichek-Orman Grants.

The festivities started at 5:30 pm and the event included dinner, drinks, music, movie clips, a roaming camel, a belly-dancer and — the highlight of the evening — both a silent and live auction!

2010 Bedichek-Orman Auction: “Texas October Fest”
The 2010 Bedichek-Orman Faculty Development Fund auction, a “Texas October Fest”, was held in the West Loop Auditorium Friday, October 15 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The 2010 Bedichek-Orman Auction raised over $20,000 to fund professional development opportunities.
