Please mark your calendars for 5:30 pm on Friday, October 19 and join us in the West Loop Auditorium for dinner, drinks, a silent auction, and — the highlight of the evening — a live auction. This year’s auction promises to have all sorts of thrills and chills as we will be transporting you to the magical and mysterious land of Transylvania… Count Dracula himself may even make an appearance at this year’s auction. ;)

We have dozens of amazing items that will be auctioned off this year including two incredible pieces from the Helen Orman Art Trust, an autographed Houston Texans jersey, several prized parking spots, lunches and dinners with a veritable “who’s who” of HCC, and a getaway to Lake Tahoe! If you are fortunate enough to win any of the auction items, you can pay with cash, check, or credit card.

Proceeds from the auction fund a multitude of professional development activities via Bedichek-Orman professional development grants. The professional development grants are awarded from the Bedichek-Orman Operating Fund. The Bedichek-Orman Operating Fund is an ongoing program of the HCC Faculty Senate in partnership with the HCC Foundation. The Fund is truly unique in that faculty members and staff help raise funds for professional development by participating in our annual auction as donors, bidders, or both.

In order to facilitate the check-in process, this year bidders can pre-register by visiting https://www.hccsfoundation.org/bedichekorman2012. We strongly encourage anyone who plans to attend to pre-register.

We look forward to spending a night in Transylvania with you at this year’s auction!
