Interested in donating an item or service to the Bedichek-Orman Auction?

We accept any and all donations and have showcased everything from brightly-colored toilets to trips to exotic locales to jewelry and household items to HCC memorabilia to fine pieces of art and everything in between.

All items donated must be accompanied by a donation form. Items without a donation form will not be accepted. The more complete and detailed a donation form is, the easier it is for the work group to market the item and sell it so please be thorough.

Items may be dropped off along with their donation form at any HCC Library.  Any item donated after the donation deadline each year may not be eligible for inclusion in the auction.

The Bedichek-Orman Work Group reserves the right to determine the pricing,  placement, and use of all donations with the assurance that all donations will be utilized to generate funding for professional development opportunities.

Items too large to be easily transported should be kept by the donor and a photograph of the item should be attached to the donation form. The work group will make appropriate arrangements as needed.

Not sure what to donate? Think about things you already have that others could use (like time at your vacation home or on your boat or a season ticket to a cultural or sporting event), look in closets, attics, and garages for treasures in your home, purchase an item to donate, ask local businesses that you frequent to donate, or partner with your department or discipline to put together a donation.

Items that have done very well in the past include creatively-themed baskets (such as Texas Wines or Movie Night), trips and experiences (like a week at a lake house or a sailboat tour), educational and training opportunities (such as guitar lessons), and art pieces. However, every single item donated each year helps to raise money for professional development and all donations are greatly appreciated!

All funds raised benefit the HCC Bedichek-Orman Operating Fund and Endowment, a joint project of the HCC Faculty Association and the HCCS Foundation, used to fund professional development opportunities for full-time and part-time faculty.

All gifts to the HCCS Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The HCCS Foundation will provide a Gift In Kind form to donors who request one on their donation form.

Thank you in advance for your donations!
